Kurt "Mr. Thursday Night" Russell

What can you say about Kurt Russell that can be anything less than an understatement? (did that sentence make sense?  it was supposed to be a compliment but I'm not sure it works out to one.)  This one man holds the record for most Thursday Night Movie Club classics; from the unforgettable "Big Trouble In Little China" to the sublime "Tequila Sunrise" to the grim "Soldier" to the inexorable "Escape From..." series, and even back to my childhood with the original "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" (no not the lame remake, thank you!), this man has been delighting us for ages.  And if we throw in his whimsical comedies (such as "Overboard" and "Used Cars") you get an entirely new dimension.  Not to mention his libertarian leanings and cigar smoking prowess.  Whew!  If one actor defines, describes, and personifies the TNMC experience, it is Mr. Russell.  May the wings of liberty never lose a feather!

"Like I told my last wife, I sez Honey, I never drive faster than I can see, and besides that, it's all in the reflexes."
